MR. SWIATOCHA counsels clients in intellectual property matters generally, and maintains a domestic and foreign patent prosecution practice primarily in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, and heat transfer and fluid mechanical arts. He handles trademark acquisition matters and negotiates patent, copyright and technology licenses.
Prior to joining O'Shea Getz, Mr. Swiatocha held various intellectual property legal positions with United Technologies Corporation's Corporate Office, providing legal services for United's Hamilton Sundstrand, Sikorsky Aircraft and UT Automotive businesses, and held the position of Intellectual Property Counsel of United's Pratt & Whitney Group. While with United Technologies, Mr. Swiatocha practiced in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret acquisition, enforcement, licensing, divestiture, and other intellectual property-related transactional matters.
Mr. Swiatocha is admitted to practice in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
